Michael Fontaine:   Back to PPI Players
About Michael:  Michael Fontaine, 14 years old, has been interested in makeup since he was three.  His first viewing of the "Wizard of Oz" sent the child's head into a tailspin as he strived to re-create the famous characters.   Soon after, Rick Baker's makeups in "Michael Jackson's Thrilller" had the same effect but even more intensified.   (More about Michael)

1.)   Massachusetts, USA.  Born in 1989,  Michael Fontaine  would like to eventually move to California and become a professional makeup artist.  Michael can be contacted by email at:  mike@arfvideo.com

2.)  "I created this prop by sculpting it with Chavant over a copy of a full head life cast. I painted directly on the sculpture with Tom Supranaut’s Pax paints and the Skin Illustrator Dark Fleshtone, FX, and Complexion palette. Most of this was done by stippling translucent washes on with Ve Neil’s Small Powder brush. Coral Blue was used for the hair stubble effect on the top of the head. The eyes as well as the inside of the mouth were painted completely with the FX palette."
3.)  "I applied this makeup to myself for Halloween. I acquired the appliances from several friends of mine. Tom Supranaut is responsible for the appliance that covers the upper part of the face as well as the pax paints. The teeth are from the Scream Team. I was meeting friends that night so I was unfortunately limited to an hour for the application."
4.)  "Using Beta Bond Plus allowed me adhere the appliances quickly. The adhesive held up all night without a problem and came off extremely easily with Super Solv Plus and IPM Gel. The Complexion palette and The Skin Illustrator Fleshtone and Dark Fleshtone palettes were also used. I began by painting the entire face with a dark purple PAX color. Then, I gradually worked up to lighter Skin Illustrator colors.

5.)  "This is a gelatine witch makeup that I did on my mom. It consists of a nose, chin, neck, eye bags, and nasal labial folds. I used Skin Illustrator for the entire makeup except for RMGP around the eyes. The colors that were used included Lao 1, Vein Tone, Black, and Rice Paper from the Fleshtone and FX palettes. They were all VERY lightly stippled and layered to keep it translucent. The appliances themselves were adhered with Beta Bond and removed with Super Solv Plus as well as Telesis Makeup Remover around the eyes."
6.)  "This is a slush latex half-mask with punched hair. I began with Tom Suprenant's pax paint and then converted to the Complexion, Dark Fleshtone, FX, and Alchemy palettes.  Specific colors that I used included pastel yellow, DT Blush, Midnight Brown, Chocolate, Burnt Sienna, and Iron Red (for eyes)."
7.)   "This is a fantasy makeup that I did on my sister Nicole. From the Alchemy palette, I used the colors, Platinum, Sterling, Cobalt, Myan Gold, Iridium Green, Talos Bronze, and Iron Red.   Originally, I envisioned a metallic face against a surreal background but I didn't think it was possible to create. After several failures of trying to do this with various fabrics wrapped around her head, I was happy to see it could be done in photoshop.  The actual makeup wasn't digitally altered in any way."
